Callawonga-16 drilling commences By Martin Kovacs, 7 Jun 2017

Cooper Energy has advised that the Callawonga-16 development well, being drilled by the PEL 92 joint venture (Cooper 25%, and Beach Energy 75% and operator) in PPL 220 in the South Australian Cooper Basin, has spudded.

Callawonga-16, the fourth of a five-well campaign in the Callawonga oil field targeting previously undeveloped reserves in the McKinlay Member Sandstone, has a prognosed total depth of 1,425 m and aims to further develop the interpreted structural high of the field, Cooper advised.

Cooper stated that Callawonga-16 is expected to take six days to complete.
